Dr. Somaia is an Assistant Professor of Medical Molecular Genetics at the National Research Center. With M.Sc. in physiology, ”Biochemical studies on mucopolysaccharide storage diseases” and a PH.D. also in physiology, "Human DNA Typing in the Egyptian population”, Dr. Somaia has dedicated much of her career to the study of genetics. Her professional experience involved DNA fingerprinting, Molecular diagnosis of infectious disease, biochemical Genetics and metabolic screening of inborn Errors of metabolism. Her publications and scientific activities don't fall any shorter, Dr. Somaia Mohamed Ismail has been a true asset to the Egyptian IV-ET center.
